“Znam swoje prawa – informator dla kobiet doznających przemocy domowej” [I Know My Rights – a Guide for Women Experiencing Domestic Violence] Project

The main objective of this socio-educational project is to develop, share and implement an information guide for people experiencing domestic violence and gender-based violence who contact the Ktoś Foundation for help.

Its goal is to increase legal awareness of people affected by violence, facilitate access to information about available forms of support, prepare people for meetings with a lawyer and a psychologist, as well as strengthen the sense of empowerment and security of people using the Foundation's assistance.

The elaboration and implementation of a practical guide that will allow for a better understanding of the phenomenon of violence, rights and legal procedures is the expected outcome. The project aims to increase legal awareness and knowledge of available forms of assistance among participants of the "Ktoś dla Kobiet" [Someone for Women] programme, as well as to strengthen the position of the "Ktoś dla Kobiet" Foundation as a first point of contact for those experiencing violence.

The project supports the development of local social support mechanisms, improving the quality of psychological and legal assistance and contributing to the creation of a safer and more cohesive social environment in Lodz. This initiative is particularly important for Lodz, which, as a post-industrial city, faces social challenges such as exclusion, poverty and domestic violence. Support for those experiencing violence, as well as legal and psychological education, contribute to building a more cohesive and secure local community. The project strengthens local social support mechanisms, which is crucial in the process of revitalisation and rebuilding social capital in a city with a difficult transformational history.
